Our Team
-
Anna Taylor
Anna’s background is in production and print, having started work at Oxford University Press following the completion of a Masters Degree in Publishing - something that now comes in very handy when designing and printing the in-house literature you see for Elmslie’s events!
Anna and her husband Bernard bought The Grove in 2013 and after extensive renovation opened the newly-restored Elmslie House to the public in 2015 to operate as an independently-funded small community arts centre.
Despite a full and busy family life, running Elmslie House as a venue, hosting the craft fairs and baking, Anna always puts time aside to visit craft fairs and exhibitions all over the UK.
-
Louise Ross
Before working for Elmslie House (and before becoming a mother to a boy and a girl), Louise was an Event Producer, and running her own pop-up events company in Scotland.
She loves attending gigs, experiential events, author talks and foodie events.
Louise loves being part of the awesome Elmslie House Team, as well as being involved with so many artisans and artists, for whom Elmslie House is an integral venue to our community here in Malvern.
-
Charlotte Hern
Charlotte has a background in model-making and sculpture, which was how she first came across Elmslie House.
Helping with the day-to-day running and online side of things, she enjoys being involved in the vibrant local art community and saying yes to Anna’s cake at every opportunity.
-
Amanda Jackson
A familiar face at Blue Magpie is Amanda, our go-to photographer. Her passion for her craft shines through her work, which is seen throughout our website and social media channels.
Originally from Canada, Amanda moved to the UK in 2001 and studied Photography at Hereford College of Art, receiving a first-class honours degree.
She is passionate about sustainable living and environmental issues and is at her happiest either with a camera around my neck or surrounded by spruce trees.
-
Ruth Dodwell
Ruth has a background in events and marketing, and with a life-long love of jewellery trained as a silversmith, and launched her contemporary jewellery business in 2017.
She designs and creates her silver jewellery from her home-based workshop, and has exhibited several times at Blue Magpie.
Ruth is delighted to have joined the vibrant team at Elmslie House.
