Over the two days you will learn how to:
• Dye and condition leather.
• Finish edges.
• Fit buckles and other fastenings.
• Do traditional two needle saddle stitch.
You will not only make the items listed above but come away with techniques and skills to be able to make you own items at home or repair things which you may find in antiques and charity shops or family treasures.
Meet the Tutor
Ruth set up her own business in 2012 after attending a leatherwork course at the Cumbria School of Saddlery and realising it was the medium for her. She loves the slow, thoughtful process of hand stitching and enjoys teaching others the skills she has been exploring and experimenting with over the years.
