What to bring:
A favourite sewing kit (needle, scissors etc) if you have one that you particularly like working with. Everything will be provided though so you can just bring yourself!
Join Katie as she shows you how you could turn your own collection of treasures into a vintage-inspired picture.
Create a hand stitched fabric picture using photos printed on to fabric, Liberty fabric and a host of haberdashery.
During the workshop you will:
• Embellish fabric photos with hand embroidery.
• Learn about layouts, colour combinations and choosing embellishments.
• Stitch your chosen fabrics, trimmings and photos to create a picture to be proud of.
• Frame your finished creation.
Meet the Tutor
Katie has always had a passion for textiles and loves nothing more than creating something to treasure from something that might have been thrown away or forgotten about. She has exhibited her work both locally and further afield and been published in a variety of magazines.
