Kathleen Murphy
3D Textile Sculptures
13th & 14th August 2022
10.00am – 4.30pm
What to bring:
A basic sewing kit, including a selection of hand sewing needles, embroidery scissors, craft scissors and a selection of thread.
A small pair of jewellery pliers or snips (if you have them).
A stubby, Sylko-type cotton reel (if you have one. Spares will be available if you don’t).
During this two-day workshop, based on her own techniques, Kathleen will teach you a variety of simple construction methods for creating a 3D figure with character made using textiles, handstitch and found objects.
Kathleen will help you to develop a story or narrative for your piece to enable the character to blossom.
