UBP presents an eclectic evening of Jazz, Blues and Laidback Rock in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Doors Open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. There will be an interval followed by a second set (for those brave enough to stay that long). Tickets £10 on the door. All proceeds go to Charity.

Unspoilt By Progress, usually known as UBP, started out in 2016 as a "vehicle" for Martin "Ziggy" Ziegler's vocals. The plan was to put Ziggy's vocals in a vehicle and get them as far away from the other three members of the band as possible. Others referred to the band as an "outlet" for Ziggy's vocal talent, but the other three members of the band got sick of the obvious jokes about flushing his vocals down the pan.

It soon became apparent that Ziggy was actually a capable vocalist with a talent for singing so far behind the beat that sometimes the band were actually playing the next song in the set list while Ziggy was singing the previous song's lyrics. However, the two musicians in the band, Jerry "Fingers" Chester (Bass, keyboards, vocals) and Andy "Yeti" Ballinger (Guitar, vocals and all manor of technical gubbins), stuck with Ziggy while Ian "Lonz" Londesbrough (Drums) carried on hitting things and building sheds at the back of the room (well they do say that the definition of a drummer is a guy who hangs out with musicians).

"Now five years later on (you've got the world at your feet)" - largely due to the pandemic - and the answer to the question "Don't You Want Me?" is still "No, not really, but we are stuck with him because he's a Tiler by trade and has some really sticky stuff available to him".

UBP love an eclectic range of music and styles and despite all the comments above Ziggy is able to sing an eclectic range of music and styles.
