Blas is an exciting jazz performance night running on the second Wednesday of each month.

The finest jazz bands from local schools and colleges will start the evening and be followed by a national or international headline act.

Michael Janisch is a MOBO-Award nominated solo artist, composer, producer and owner of Whirlwind Recordings. Described by Jazzthetic as a ‘virtuoso’ on the electric and double bass, he is acclaimed by Bass Musician Magazine for his ‘facility, passion and musicality’.

Following the long COVID enforced live music fast, the Michael Janisch band comes directly from their first live gig at Ronnie Scotts to launch Blas Jazz in Malvern on 13 October. Join us for what promises to be an epic evening of contemporary jazz.
