**** FRIDAY 18th DECEMBER – ELMSLIE HOUSE ANNOUNCEMENT****
SADLY THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED –
WE WILL BE CONTACTING THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY BOUGHT TICKETS TO ARRANGE REFUNDS AND APOLOGISE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE – WE HOPE TO BE BACK IN 2021 BUT FOR NOW WISH YOU ALL A HAPPY CHRISTMAS! ***
Two opportunities to hear the magic of Christmas in music and song:
Saturday 19th December at 7.30pm & again on Sunday 20th December at 3.30pm
Following the easing of Lockdown 2.0 measures, we’re once again teaming up with local musicians, Linda Tolchard (soprano), Catherine Handley (flute), and Tim Sidford (piano) to bring you another series of socially distanced, limited audience number recitals, with table service from the bar!
Both recitals feature the same programme and will last approximately one hour with no interval.
You can expect such delights as: Pietro A. Yon, John Barnard, Adolph Adam, Bob Chilcott, Gustav Holst, Howard Blake, Max Reger, Irving Berlin and many more! A Christmas Gift of Beautiful Music.
Tickets are £10 each and you can buy your tickets through Eventbrite, however, we would ask that before you do so, you please read our new Housekeeping guidelines, below:
Without wanting to be *too* prescriptive – at the same time, given the current situation, and the resulting government guidelines which we have had to take on board to operate as a COVID-secure venue, this is just a brief outline as to how we can deliver the recital to you in the safest possible way. This is the way we envisage it working:
Ideally, if you can, we’d like to ask, please, that you book your tickets as a household or bubble (of no more than six), so that we can seat you together around a table.
Once we receive notification of your order, we will then allocate you a table, from front to back, in order of the bookings received. We will then place the lead name (of the person who has purchased the tickets) on the table to indicate your reservation/booking.
For the table service to work, once your ticket order has been received, we will e-mail you with an order form, so that you can place your drinks order in advance. WE would ask that any patrons ordering drinks allow plenty of time before the recital starts – so please to arrive approx 30 minutes before the performance time.
As well as offering the usual bar service, we are hoping to offer Mulled Wine and Mince pies for these performances which will then be made to order.
This effectively means that once you have had your tickets checked in on arrival, your order will be ready for you – and we will bring these out to your table and take payment for the whole order via a card machine (ideally, again, via only one transaction, if possible, please).
As there will be no interval, this will minimise the need to for people to move around! We have a newly created QR code to use in conjunction with the NHS Track & Trace app, but as we will have a lead name for your party through the ticket order, we will just need to confirm a telephone number for you if you don’t already have the App or a recent phone that supports it.
We are limiting numbers to ensure all tables are socially distanced for patrons to enjoy the performance.
As this recital is offered within a licensed premises context, patrons will need to wear face coverings until they take their seats, but in order to drink, do not need to continue wearing them for the duration of the performance, unless they choose to.
