Wednesday term time
10am- 1pm & 2-5pm
The Elmslie Embroidery Group has been set up with the aim of exploring influences on, and approaches to, contemporary textiles. These include the continually evolving relationship between art and craft and the connection that makers have with their context and audience.
Students will be mentored to help them achieve their own individual potential, and they will also be given the opportunity to work in collaboration with others. Working within a dynamic group students will be challenged to develop professional integrity and create and exhibit diverse and exploratory work. This class is suitable for those with some experience of art and textiles and entrance is by portfolio.
The morning session for this term is now full but due to popular demand we are hoping to expand and be able to run an afternoon one too! If you would like further details please contact Caroline Park on 07988 256490 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
