Coronavirus update

Elmslie House will be closed for the foreseeable future

Effective immediately, and in line with the most recent government advice to contain the spread of Coronavirus, we will be closing our doors to the public until further notice.

We understand that these are unprecedented times and we would like to take this opportunity to thank those who have supported us in our venture thus far. As a small family business that has shared our home with the wider community, our house, for the first time in over five years is – eerily quiet.

This action impacts hugely not only on us, but on our staff members and those who regularly hire our spaces to run events, classes, workshops and more. So, to the self-employed, and the micro-businesses that have supported us, we wish you all the very best in these turbulent times – and hope to see you back at the earliest opportunity. Many makers and artists who have previously exhibited here can be found online – via Etsy shops, websites and other social media platforms. Please continue to support them. If you can’t get out – then Internet sales can still help them stay afloat. And every sale, however big or small, counts.

Rest assured that the team at Elmslie will continue working behind the scenes to plan as best we can for events postponed to later in the year – or perhaps into 2021. And we might yet get around to doing that much needed re-decorating . . . We hope to shortly launch a blog to keep in touch and to support our Community as best we can in these times of social distancing – and we will continue to regularly post things onto our Facebook and Instagram pages too – so do stay connected!

In the meantime, stay safe and well, and we hope to re-open our doors to you just as soon as we safely can.

With the very best of wishes Anna, Bernard, Charlotte, Louise & Katie The Team at Elmslie House
