Following their sell-out Debut at Music at Stow, Elmslie House is to host a hotly awaited sequel by the all-girl, all-cello ensemble Cellissimo, appearing here on Friday 3rd November.
Cellissimo are Lois Mattson, Kate Cowell, Ellen Scargill and Joanne Jefferis, four professionally trained cellists who play a wide range of orchestral and chamber music repertoire, but wanted to add a little more spice to their regular playing, by exploring this very special combination of instruments, as the four-cello ensemble produces the most wonderful lush textures across a beautifully wide and thrilling melodic range.
Their concert will explore a rich seam of wonderful music arranged for this beautiful instrument, with something for just about everyone – from Bach to Beatles.
Rehearsals have been fun – please watch the video below:
Come journey on the Chattanooga Choo Choo as you’ve never heard it before, meet the Beatles’ Michele dressed in brand new colours, and journey down to the Spiritual Deep River, via a tango from Piazzolla and the formidable Bach Chaconne.
Tickets are available here (below, via Pay-pal) or if you are passing the house, we always have tickets here too, so do please call in!
Alternatively tickets for all music performances are available via Malvern TIC and Carnival Records, both on Church Street, Great Malvern and also online and direct to your mobile phones via Eventbrite.
